Η κα Μαντά αποτελεί τα τελευταία χρόνια μία από τις πιο πολυδιαβασμένες σύγχρονες ελληνίδες συγγραφείς. Η αγάπη του αναγνωστικού κοινού στο πρόσωπό της δεν καθρεφτίζεται μόνο στις πωλήσεις των βιβλίων της αλλά και στις υποψηφιότητες και τα βραβεία που της απονέμονται, βάση της προτίμησης του κόσμου. Κάθε της βιβλίο ακολουθείται πιστά από χιλιάδες αναγνώστες άμα τη εμφανίσει του στα ράφια των βιβλιοπωλείων. Και η αλήθεια είναι ότι κάθε χρόνο η συγγραφέας καταφέρνει να τραβήξει την προσοχή με τα διαφορετικά θέματα που καταπιάνεται χωρίς να φοβάται το ρίσκο.
Φέτος με το νέο της βιβλίο η κα Μαντά έχω την αίσθηση ότι επιστρέφει στο είδος που έχει υπηρετήσει περισσότερο, στο κοινωνικό - ερωτικό μυθιστόρημα που έχει ως κεντρικό πρόσωπο μία γυναίκα. Το «μια συγνώμη για το τέλος» είναι η ιστορία ζωής της Μυρσίνης, μιας γυναίκας που βίωσε τον πόνο, την αδικία, την εξαπάτηση, τη σωματική κακοποίηση, τον ψυχικό βιασμό γιατί είχε την ατυχία να γεννηθεί άσχημη!
